Unfortunately for the time being there is no good video for this model of home gym.

Dimensions & Weight

When it comes to size, the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is not too bad. Keep in mind, this is a home gym with a weight stack, so no matter what you do, it is going to be fairly big and consume a decent amount of space. However, that being said, in terms of full body home gyms, it is not the largest one out there.

  • Length: 70 inches
  • Width: 42 inches
  • Height: 80 inches
  • Weight: 328 pounds

Warranty

We do really like the fact that the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym comes with a really solid warranty. The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym comes with a full 10-year warranty on the frame and a 1-year warranty on the parts. By all means, this is very impressive.

Assembly

Assembling the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is technically not that difficult, but it will require a fair amount of time and effort to complete. The point is that this item is heavy and big, so you will want a second pair of hands helping you. That being said, the instructions included are clear and you don’t need many tools to complete assembly. You can do it by yourself, but help always makes things easier. You won’t need more than a couple hours to assemble the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym.

What We Like About The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym

The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym does have a few features that are worth mentioning in some detail, so let’s do that right now.

One of the things that we really like about the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is that it is extremely durable. First off, the steel tube frame is very strong and has a ridiculously high user weight limit. Also, the whole thing has a powder coat finish for scratch and rust resistance. Moreover, the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym also has a tensile cable strength of 2,200 pounds, plus the pulleys have swiveling ends for mobility and versatility. All in all, this is one of the most durable models on the market today.

We like that the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym has a 160-pound weight stack that can be easily adjusted with a pin. Making weight adjustments is really quick and easy. The 160 pounds of resistance you are faced with is more than enough for any beginner or intermediate workout enthusiast.

Another thing that we really like about the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is that it lets you work out your whole body from top to bottom. It has a fly and arm press station with 3 different grip positions, plus you can reverse your own position for even more options. The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym also comes with a leg developer with multiple functions, a multi-grip lat bar, an ab crunch harness, and a low pulley for rowing exercises too. You can literally work out every major muscle group in your body with the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym.

Yet another thing that we like about the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is that it features an adjustable telescoping seat. This makes the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym ideal for people of various sizes. Speaking of the seat, it has a durable vinyl coating, making it easy to clean, plus it has great padding too. The leg extenders also feature foam rollers to help keep you comfortable for the duration of your workout routine.

What We Don’t Like About The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym

There are just a few minor things which could be improved upon when it comes to the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym.

The weight stack is only 160 pounds. While this is ideal for beginners, any serious weight lifter will find that 160 pounds do not go all that far.

We don’t like how the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym has no station for your biceps, such as a preacher curl pad. While some of the pulley stations do allow for bicep exercises, there is nothing that really resembles a curl.

Alternatives To The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym

So you can have a bit of a reference point, let’s talk about some of the other mid range home gym options that you can go with.

Marcy MKM-81010 Home Gym

Both the Powerline model discussed above and the Marcy MKM-81010 Home Gym are fairly similar in terms of their size and weight. Where these two really differ is in regards to their weight stack and possible exercises. Simply put, the Marcy has a bigger weight stack, making it more ideal for people who are really serious about weight training. On the other hand, the Powerline model has a few more exercise options, mainly a better press station, but the Powerline does not have the preacher curl pad like the Marcy does. The Powerline model may be a little stronger and more durable, especially because of the 2,200-pound tension capacity aircraft cables, but it does also cost more than the Marcy MKM-81010.

Bowflex Blaze Home Gym

Bowflex Blaze Home Gym Review

Both the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym and the Powerline BSG10X are pretty similar in terms of their price. Now, many people like the smoothness, reliability, and overall feel of weight stacks more, but the Bowflex does have some advantages in terms of its power rods. For one, the power rods of the Bowflex Blaze make it much lighter than the Powerline, but the Powerline does take up much less space. That being said, the Bowflex Blaze has quite a few more possible exercises that can be done with it, plus the original model has 50 pounds more resistance, and can even be upgraded for another 200 pounds of extra resistance. Much of your choice here will have to do with whether you like resistance rods or weight stacks.

Final Thoughts On The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym

The Powerline BSG10X Home Gym is one of the more expensive mid range home gym options out there, but the investment is well worth it. This item has various exercise stations with a great many possible exercises, it has a high-quality build, 160 pounds of resistance, and is very simple to use. While the Powerline BSG10X Home Gym may not be ideal for weightlifting gurus and veterans, it will certainly do the job for everyday use.
